i talked to atp turbo and they told me that the garrett gt35r is a good turbo for me on my gsr motor to push 400-450 whp. anybody else have anything better. im not planning on going anywhere past 450whp.

A 35r is a little big for 400-450whp, but you can do it. There are better options out there if you look. What's your budget??

TONS of choices. GT35R isn't the only thing in the world to do that goal at all.

Its a 60-1 in a B housing with a few tweaks...it was the name given to it by TheShodan. If you were to say 60-1 in a B housing, it doesn't mean anything. Having an original name like the FP Red or Green, the Silver Surfer or Red Pill, etc gets people to remember your company....its all advertising

Our S256 net is a best bang for the buck. It takes place of the T04E 60 trim. Very cost affective turbo.

I'm shooting for 400whp and I decided on a GT30R which from what I've been told can support more than that. A GT35R might be a lil too much but will definately get you where you need to be.

how much did you pay for your turbo. im probably going to pick up that same one cause the guy at atp told me that the gt35r can push up to like 550whp and im not planning to push that much in the future. 400whp is way enough for me. and whats your setup? also on the turbo by garret website it has 3 gt30r what does the numbers after them mean? sorry for these noob questions. pretty new at turbos. thanks everyone for helping

im running a gt30r for around 450hp on my build and think thats a good turbo to run. If I would of sleeved and bored to 84mm I would of gone with the 35r but i am running 81.5mm bore on stock sleeves and think I am pushing it but it has been done countless times so on to a good tune I am going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd go with the borg warner. Their just as cheap as the garretts but have a better bearing system. The turbos spool faster then the GT series ones and you dont have to hook up a water line. Not to mention, a GT series turbo cant be rebuilt . Just another reason not to get one. Talk to theshodan or turbodano about them and i'm sure they can get you squared away.

Is this a proven fact?

I need to learn up on these borg warners if that's the case.
