well ive been trying to install my indash TV into my 2000 ITR but it seems to only power up when i wire red/yellow together. but then it stays constant and will work when i take out the key but when i wire them directly the indash tv does not power and when i press the buttons on the indash i can hear the unit making a clicking noise but does not power up. and ive tried it in my 92 accord and it works and ive check wirign diagrams for both and they are the same so i am stumped. and the radio it came with a pioneer headunit was wired the same. could it be a wiring problem with my cars harness?


checked both fuses the back up and the fuse box under the hood both are good and also the fuse on the wiring harness is good. so right now im stumped any help would be good

 

Did you actually test the fuses? Or just look at them?

Do you own a multimeter?

 

yea ive tested them- and the car came with a pioneer headunit which im currently running and it works but it does the same thing but it shuts off completely when it ake the face plate off. but my new unit does not have a detachable face plate. and the pioneer unit is wired with the red/yellow together

 

Well, I don't know of any radios that continue playing when you take the faceplate off....
