Default Ink Stamp on LSD transmissions

ive looked hard around honda-tech and google and couldnt fin the answer to my question. Typical type r lsd trannys have the ink stamps: "N3D" and most popular "J4D" on them... but do any owners or anyone in general know what the "R4" stamp is???

The "R4" stamp is from the B16B CTR transmissions.

I'm 99% sure that stamp didn't come on any ITR trannies. It is basically the same trans though. A few of the brackets are different but all of the insides are the same.

From all the trannies I've seen, and I've seen a lot of trannies, these are the codes I've come across.

J4D=USDM ITR Trans/JDM 96-97 Trans 4.4FD

N3E=JDM 98-01 ITR Trans 4.7FD

E3D=Euro 98-01 ITR Trans 4.7FD

R4=97-00 CTR Trans 4.4FD

is this true? i see plenty of n3e for sale from personal garage sales and e3d from icbmotorsports. i trust icbmotorsports, just not the personal garage sales. just want to make sure im really getting 4.7 and not 4.4.
