Default H22 swap in a 95 Accord coupe question.

I was reading on another how to guide for the swap that instead of welding the prelude and accord powersteering together you can just use a powersteering hose from a 97 prelude. Is this true? If it is it will make my life alot easier.

not sure on a answer but i am in the same situation i know a 92-95 lude isn't the fix...... costly mistake on my part I may just find someone to put the two hoses together with a coupling I know a guy that makes hydraulic hoses for my tow truck.
you want info on this if it works or if it's doable

Please search, I made a list of exactly what's required to retain power steering in an accord with a H22 swap.

I did search and thats why i was asking. I found it on another FAQ for the swap. It said i could use a 97 prelude hose if i switched the alternator bracket and powersteering bracket to a newer prelude as well. Was just seeing if anyone had done it. I know i am a newbie here but man you could have been a lil more helpful like post a link of you other post saying what i needed? I just was trying to get away from having to weld 2 hoses together.

I did this, and I found that the 1997 Prelude Power steering hose rubs the hood if you use the OEM Belt.

I am assuming you are using a 1997 or newer Prelude P/S Pump, as I did.

I found a belt that was shorter @ Advance Auto Parts and it worked perfect.

Ok now my other question with the swap. I was just told by a guy who has done this swap before that he didnt have to change the motor mounts in the car to do the swap. Is this possible? I know what the FAQ's say but this contradicts them so thats why i ask.

As for the powersteering issue i think i am just going to take the H22 hose and the accord hose to get welded.

Yeah, I was cheap and I wished I went the welded pipe route.

As far as the mounts go, I used the HaSport mount, street durometer, for the driver's side frame rail mount. I changed the bracket from the Accord bracket on the rear of the trans to a 1995 Prelude bracket so I could use the Prelude rear motor mount. When you remove the Accord rear mount, you will find that the bolt holes, at least on my 1997 so it might be different on yours, were open and threaded and easily accepted the Prelude mount and bracket.

Do yourself a favor and grab the Sport Compact Car that had the conversion in it, there is a lot of good information in there. I forget the issue date but it had to be from 2002(?)

You can still access the article off of their website.

I also just saw someone mention the alternator.

I reused the H22A alternator and bracket, with no problems with clearance.

There's no reason to get custom hoses welded.

Ok so got the Prelude bracket for the powersteering.

Now my question is about the about the fuel rail and the transmission. I read that i should just use my accord fuel rail. Is this true? or what should i do?

And as far as the tranny goes since i am doing an auto to auto swap is there anything i should be looking out for since most of the instructions i have seen were for the 5 speeds.

By the way if you havent figured out by now, I havent got the motor yet i am just lining up all the parts for when it gets here so i know what i am doing haha.

i just finished my swap i used a accord stock power steering pump on my h22 power steering bracket i had to cut the 2 pieces off of the bracket the on to the left that the back of the pump bolts to and where the adjuster goes to and i had to shave around a 1/4 inch off the power sterring pump top ear and i am using my stock accord power steering hose for the fuel i made my own hose
