Hi jaepalm,

The install is actually one of the simplest of any of the short shifters we manufacture. Most of our customers perform the install themselves. Here is a link to the page where you can download the install manual to get an idea of what is involved, scroll to the bottom for the download link: TWM Civic Short Shifter.

If a shop installs it, they shouldn't charge more than 30-45 minutes for the install.

Thanks for the feedback guys,

Kevin

Yeah, I installed it myself and I don't trust myself to know jack about cars. The only tricky part is taking off the blue cap thing (you'll see what I'm talking about). Put a towel down over the opening so it doesn't fall into the console and you'll be fine. Absolutely give it a try.

By the way, this DOES NOT fix the grinding problem, it just reduces the feel of it. Think about it: you haven't changed anything about your transmission, only the fulcrum/lever of how your shifter moves.

luke, i got the MTF changed according to the bulletin thing for Honda. even though I was out of warrantee they did it for me for free. i must say it IS better. it's only been a couple thousand miles since the change though...may get bad again.

I think they put in the genuine honda mtf in there.
