Anyone using the Skunk2 rear lower tie bar on their R?
If you are, how the f*ck did you get the spacers to fit properly. I think I put the spacers in wrong, but have had the bar on for about 8 months with no problems. I'm not too worried about it, but just wondering if anyone else had problems with this. Thanks
I have that rear bar...i didnt really have any problems with mine, other than needing to pry the muffler to the side so I could get in and tighten down the one side of the bar. my bar seized up though and does not twist in the bushings like its supposed to(why its supposed to do this, I have no idea)
Mine twists in the bushings but not a lot. I just was having a hell of a time figuring out the spacers. I thought one was supposed to go on each side of the control arm but that wasn't right. I ended up just putting the spacers back to back and then threading the bar on. I guess it's all good, haven't had a problem yet.
Ill have to take a closer look at mine...i dont remember exactly how the spacers were supposed to be. I think you were supposed to have one on each side of the bar but Ill double check.
i have an LS, but i used the shorter spacer on the inside and i had to remove the abs lines and the shroud that held it in place. fitment isnt perfect, (probably not meant for ABS cars) but hell it works and it works well.
EDIT: 1. Removed ABS shroud and lines. 2. Put on bar with SHORTER spacer on the inside of the tie bar and LONGER one on the outside. 3. zip tie abs shroud to tie bar.
