need advice about selecting an alarm
I am going to get an alarm this weekend.
I am going to be purchasing it from this local shop and having them install it.
they dont have much of a selection, but i am deciding on two
1)clifford Avantguard 5 for 650 installed
or
2)clifford intelliguard 770 for 450 installed
the Avantguard 5, has a title sensor, self-powered serien, i think some sort of promixity sensor..i think, when you come close to the windows the car beeps, and remote starter.
I am more concerned with my car being vadalism then being stolen.
Does anyone here have any suggestions for me?

Whichever one of the two has a TWO-WAY Pager attached to it.....get that one. There is no 100% fool proof way to defend your car against being vandalized or stolen.....but at least with a two-way pager, a signal will be sent to the pager if you're alarm's warning system is activated or if the full alarm is set off.
Tilt sensor is just an alarm feature designed to set off the alarm if the car is tilted beyond a certain degree....such as an attempt to TOW your vehicle away. If it is a tilt sensor...make sure it is a DIGITAL one....that way your alarm won't go off when you park on a steep hill.

Viper sells an optional Digital Tilt Sensor for their alarm systems.
