Default Marc's EJ8 build up thread

I know this is pretty late start, as I've been working on the car slowly over the past year or so.. purchased the car from a local h-t forum member, since then I have built a B16A for boost, swapped it in, converted to OBD1 and did some minor interior improvements like new carpet and a cluster swap. I'll update this as I do the wire tuck, turbo install and suspension.

Not at the moment.. it's a JVC head unit that came with the car

Installed some Prothane mount inserts today to stiffen up the engine mounts..

I still plan on getting the innovative driver side mount to convert it to EG style..

Note: Trim the mount insert about 1/4 inch so the bolt head clears on the rear mount. what a PITA!

oh yeah.. mostly from a dead stop into a first gear roll there's enough vibration to shake all of my mirrors, then it's really smooth from there on..

definitely worth it though; I could feel more torque to the ground instantly and the motor no longer twists at all when I shift. $20 well spent

update: spent a few hours checking all my charge pipe/manifold/downpipe/oil line fitment, turns out the driver side EG charge pipes don't fit properly.. the downpipe was from a full-race equal length kit, and surprisingly it fits perfectly with the BLOX log manifold.

kick the Ls's to the curb. These would look a lot cleaner. Are you gonna change the grill anytime soon? Si front end may b?

I'll be happy if I hit 300 whp at 1 bar; anything over that isn't necessary for a light street car.

I tried the RP02's on today and they look great.. my camera died and i can't find the charger so no pics for now. I'll probably run them in street trim and pick up some HX/VX wheels for the track
