lug nut keeps spinning..thread stripped

Default lug nut keeps spinning..thread stripped

the lug nut keeps spinning on the stud. i guess the thread are stripped. any ideas to take it off without cutting it?

maybe take all the other lug nuts off leaving the stripped one behind. Try cocking the wheel sideways to put pressure against the lug nut while turning it with a socket. This way the wheel might try to help push the lug nut off.

actually i got it already...i did the same thing u suggested trav95civic. i pulled the wheel out while i spun the lug nut. popped right off. stud is stripped though.
