Loose heater and a/c controls on 2000 Civic EX
My 2000 Civic EX was broken into last year, and the thief stole the radio. In the process of ripping out the head unit, he cracked the heater and a/c controls and also seemed to have damaged the upper left-hand attachment point on the dash for the controls. I have since had the controls replaced, and ever since, they have been loose in the upper left hand corner, most likely due to the damaged attachment point.
For security purposes, I had a new radio installed into the space above the cupholders, and also had the stock cupholders replaced with '96-'98 JDM EK cupholders so that the new radio would fit better. The space where the radio originally was is now covered by a dual DIN stereo delete panel. My question is, is it possible to fix the controls so that they fit tightly against the dashboard, or do I have to go about replacing the entire dash? Would it help if I put my radio back into dual DIN space in the controls?
Pictures will go up by tomorrow to better illustrate my situation. Thanks!
