Strut tower braces
I have a '93 prelude with four wheel steering, lowered with tyne spring, 19's, etc. and I was wondering if any company made any strut tower braces front or rear. I've heard you can put a 5th generation style on. it's a tight fit but it will work on the front. But would any integra stuff work? It is the same basic platform.
Yes you can buy strut tower braces for a 4th gen prelude. I'm not sure on the front fitting both gens but I do know that the 4th gen rear will fit a 5th gen rear. And as far as I know, no integra suspension stuff will fit on a prelude. Those 19 inch rims must look huge on your car.
Get Neuspeed strut bars, they are the only solid ones that I know of. And no the integra is NOT the same basic platform. The tegs share parts with civics, and the preludes share a few parts with the Accord.
Did Neuspeed ever make a read bar for the Lude? I have the front (Which i love) and have been looking for a good rear bar.
To the OP: Some companies that make bars for the 4th gen: DC, Megan, Neuspeed, Tanabe, Vibrant, and i've heard of but have never seen a Spoon bar.

There are about 1 million companies that make strut tower bars for 4th gen Preludes. A google search will bring up TONS, and eBay will have just as many. You don't need to worry about 5th gen stuff.
19s are way to big.

What on Earth gave you that notion????? A Prelude is nothing like an Integra (as far as Hondas go anyway)

I'm still learning about hondas. I used to run with higher horsepower stuff, but i am falling in love with hondas. Its definately the funnest car to drive. And for anyone that says 19's are too big... you haven't seen them. Thanks for everyone's help even if I sound like a complete idiot.
19's 'may' fit but it doesnt mean they should go on. although you may have your own style i think most who said no to 19's were giving a personal 'opinion' about what you should do. just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. why would you want to put 19's on a prelude anyways, theres no function from putting 19's, get 17's if you want bigger but atleast something like that would be functional...

Yes, we have all seen pictures of Preludes with 19" wheels. Even if they look OK sometimes the performance loss is nowhere close to being worth it. Plus all the fitment issues and having to use rubber-band tires is just not a good idea.
Maybe if you have some 19" TE-37s or something...but I doubt it.

It is personal preference but why be like everyone else? There is no clearance issues and they aren't that much heavier than 17's. I think you just ahve to find the right wheel because yes most 19's will add way too much weight but there are so many companies that make lightweight wheels. Plus they fit the wheel wells perfectly. I guess its more of a appearance thing than actual performance.
The "rubber bands" that are on the wheels do outstanding in wet and dry weather and help handling a ton. Again you have to find the right tires, i'm currently running toyo proxes 2. If i remember right they are 245-35-zr19's and when you enter a tight corner they stick. My problem with 17's is they look too small, at least go with 18's. On something like an integra, the 17's look really good but not on 4th generation prelude's or 5th generation for that matter.
