trying to figure out what tranny i have on my car. its a Y80. so its either a JDM b16B, JDM b18C, B18B, USDM b18C1, or a JDM b18C SiR. so if anyone knows another way i can tell it would help. maybe someone who would know what rpm i should be at a certain speed in a certain gear. thanks

ya but if you look on the b18b on hmotors you can get the s80 or y80 also just as for the gsr so still not clear on which tranny it is haha.

 

Now days I would like to see inside. There must be a place to verify identification on the internal... anyone?

yea...compare insides of the two different transmissions. i highly doubt someone would take apart a trans just to put shitty internals in. don't be that naive.

well then wouldn't that mean that it's a b series transmission used on more than one application...this isn't exactly rocket science guys.

 

Friend got a LS internals on what was supposed to be a B16.... it happends
