Sounds like something is definitely popping the fuse. Check for pinched wires, bad grounds, etc....

so do you think i should basically check the wires from the fuel pump up? i looked at the wires i mean it was only about 12 inches worth from fuel pump didnt have enough time to follow them up i had to get back to class, i dont think the pump is bad ive never had problems really just these sudden ones, not including i just got my car back it was stolen 3 days ago so maybe when those ******** were messing with it they pinched a wire. so im just trying to figure out what location it would help me out a lil more to look for these wires? nothing under the hood i figured.? anyone help me out?

Remove the fuel pump inspection cover and check the wires going into the pump, maybe chaffing against the cover. Also have your alternator checked, it may have internal problems which is on the same circuit.

it could be, but i doubt it. I've very rarely seen a bad pump pop the fuse. I still think its a short somewhere. Try to find a shop in your area that specializes in auto electrical, not just any mechanic.

I was about to say, "what has changed in the last couple days? what did you put on your car?" But now that you said that your car was stolen, I'd say, back track what they might have done to steal it. How did they get it started? Did they jump your starter? Did they crack your stearing column? I'd bet that the short is comming from something the thieves did. That's just my $.02

Good luck though

that seems like the most logicaly the theft to blame. I was popping the fuel pump fuse on the way to the mall and it turned out some how the wire to the pump was melted together and was shorting out. simple fix. bitch to find.

yo, it's deffinitly a short in the circuit... cause if you have an open you wouldn't get any power at all. with a short, the electricirty is taking a short cut back to the ground (negative on the battery) you should look for any frayed wires, that are touching the body or something. frayed wires can cause a short and a short overloads fuses. Good luck though.

well they busted my ignition of course, i start it with any key even a screw driver would work, im not quite sure on the steering column, i mean when i first started driving it it made a small grinding sound when i turned the wheel, but of course that sound stopped. i guess it has something to do with the ignition being busted open towards boosting it ? does the circuit on that fuse run through areas near my ignition located near the steering column? i mean these mechanics sound like morons there is a electrical shop in the area i just hate trying to get the car there if i blew out 3 fuses going not even 0.5 miles i guess i could tow the damn thing again...lol...such a pain in the ***.

On the back of the key cylinder assembly is the white plastic ignition switch. On the back of that whit plastic piece is the soldered end of each ignition wire's terminal. If one of those solder points touches metal it will blow the fuse, which will be a maxi fuse in the distribution block under the hood (the big fuse with a screw terminal on each end). Take the steering column shroud off & check that. most likely this is what's happening.
