Default wtf? car died on me

for no good reason.

my PGM-FI light comes on every so often but thats only after i've been driving for atleast 5 minutes. the ECU self diagnosis reads code 1. which i believe is either fuel filter or o2 censor. but would one of those cause my car to die just backing out of the driveway?

i had a bad 02 sensor that caused me to keep blowing a fuse (sp sensor) that stopped my alternator from working. not sure if you're having the same problem but worth looking into.

if your getting code #1 then thats your o2 sensor, either the wiring is lose or freyed, clip may not be all the way in, or the o2 sensor could just be shot...

and yes the o2 being bad could do that, when mine went i could start my car and rev it with no problem but as soon as i would put it in reverse or start driving the car would start bucking and hesitate and would accelerate and sometimes stalled...

so check your wiring first and if thats ok then your o2 is bad...

thats gotta be what it is then. cause it is a Code 1 and my car is doing the exact same thing you described. this is why i love Honda-tech. cause no matter what Honda you drive, Somebody, somewhere, has or had the same issues your honda has.

well unless your lucky enough to never run into any issues ever. but thats near impossible.

it might be an o2 sensor. mine would run fine when it was cold but one trip around the block and it would do what your describing.
