Default What gauge cluster / speedometer is this.

Does anyone know what civic this cluster originally came in?

I picked this up in Europe a few years ago, but forgot to check the vin # to see what model it came from.

It was removed from a 1996 right hand drive Civic hatchback in UK.
There were two of them at the junk yard, one riced out and one stock, but both hatches had the same clusters, so I assume the clusters came in those models.

Looks very similar to USDM LX/EX, but the mph goes higher, and theres' a few other differences, like no maintenance indicator and odometer/trip-odometer switched places.

I have a 98 dx hatch from canada and that is the same as my cluster except that mine is in km. But I know not all the dx's came with a tach but mine did and I've also see others that did (maybe it was an option). The speed on mine also goes up to 220 just like that cluster

I believe that's an EK ex cluster. dx didn't come with a tach i don't think, at least mine didn't. and that looks like the ek style.

you're wrong there buddy, that cluster does go up to 140...expletive my 03 Jetta 2.slo (2.0L) cluster goes up to 160mph but it more than likely tops out at 115-120 TOPS.
oh and my 2000 Civic has that cluster which is why i KNOW it does go up to 140

exactly, but what I want to find out is which EK is it.

For everyone else, it's not a USDM cluster nor is it from CA, it's from London, UK.

I'm trying to find out the abbreviated code for the chase.

For those that didn't know, officially, EK's were never sold in US, instead, their counterparts are:
EJ6 (CX, DX, LX),
EJ7 (HX),
EJ8 (EX), and
EM1 (Si)

i think he meant the cluster itself - are you sure the car tops at 120??? and im being serious cause there was one stupid night on my part...LATE at night on route 80 in NJ and no one was on the highway and i wanted to see how fast i can get it up to (this is also when i first got the car) and i got to about 125mph and then i backed off..didn't want to completely rape my car.

Same exact thing, auto and manual, the only difference is the gear indicator.
My buddy had a 00 EX coupe (5spd factory), and it only goes to 120.

Not to mention, all US models have a maintenance indicato, and a KEY hole to reset it, mine does not.

yea, umm i don't know if you actually look at the cluster or not, but there is a 140 mark, it's just not labeled, that's because it goes faster than 120.
Just cause it doesn't label 140 it's still on there hommie.

The marks on the cluster goe in 5 mph increments.

If you look at any 96-00 civic cluster (except Si), the last mark would be 130mph, and the reason it's not labeled is because the numbers go in 20mph increments.

The last mark on the cluster at the top is 145mph.

130 does not equal 145
