>> Please Help Viper Alarm XV791 Remote Gurus
I have a Viper alarm XV791 but all of suddenly today it stop recieving signal. I search through these forums and google but couldn't find much information. I stumpled onto this site http://www.the12volt.com/insta...=last and tried what he explained. I push the valet button once and held on the second push, saw the LED blink once, and push a button on the remote. Still no dice, it doesn't detect the remote anymore
The only part I didn't understand is press button number "1" This is how my remote looks like
If anyone knows how to program the remote. Please help a HT bro out
Thanks

have you checked to make sure the anttena is still pluged up. and you press the lock button on the remote.
sorry for being a noob but where does the antenna connect too? I'm trying to trace where the wire leads too. Kind of late to take apart my car since the guy ran it into the side pillars.
I replied in your other thread already but here are the steps:
1) open door
2) turn your key to the ignition on position
3) press valet switch once and hold on second
4)you should hear the siren chirp once and the LED blink once.
5) press your lock button on the remote
6) take out your key. Siren may go off to confirm programming worked.
the antenna has two places you have to check. On the windshield where the cable plugs in. Make sure it's connected nicely. Otherwise the other end plugs into the brain.
Also, those remotes are notorious for failing. I have a pile of those laying around. You can however fix them yourself if needed.
