I looked at it, opened the door, sat down in the seat, said "I'll take it" and bought it. Seriously, I put GSR leather seats in it and all black interior.

1. Educated myself by speaking to people active in the tuning scene.
2. Found my way to honda-tech.com and read pages upon pages of information.
3. Bought an AEM short-ram intake and installed it with my father.
4. Discovered I was bit by the power bug. "I NEEDS MOAR POWAR!" lol.
5. Researching headers, exhaust systems, suspension, tires, etc.
6. Research continues...

Tried to reason with myself that the car really had a JDM ITR engine after I paid only $3500 for it
Went to honda-tech.com (holy crap, it is!) whew!!!
...
Put ITR USDM seats on it (leathers were torn)
Installed REMUS axle back
JDM front end conversion
Installed Skunk2 pro comp coilovers
Painted side skirts
Replaced starfish wheels with O.Z. EVO CUP wheels

BTW, 96 GSR came with JDM ITR engine, ITR tranny with LSD, and AEM CAI yet it was not lowered.

1. Researched
2. Saved money
3. Repeat above about 30x
4. Built my turbo setup
5. Built engine to handle a better turbo setup

**i was one of the few people with any kind of patience who, rather than blowing money on useless NA crap, saved up and bought something which actually gave me a significant increase in power.

Maintenance.
Full detail (with a friend).
Redline Synthetic 5w30 and S2000 oil filter.
Upgraded brake pads to Axxis Ultimates.
JDM 23mm rear sway bar (not yet installed).
Reading and researching.
Saving money.
Saving more money.
Dreaming about having money.

Oh yeah, next step is either:
A) Kumho Ecsta SPT 205/50/15.
B) ASR subframe reinforcement brace (so I can finally mount my sway bar).

i bought mine for 500 wrecked. very minor frame damage (front). so the first thing i did was run down to the scrap yard and bought a front right fender, a hood, took off the front bumper support, ziptied the bumper on (from behind so it looks clean), then went crazy with the weight reduction thing. took out power steering, cruise control, wiper fluid tank and hoses, stripped everything inside, and so far thats it. the motor is stock. with 217K miles. runs like a champ though.

Even before I bought my 2nd teg I bought RSR Exmag, Greddy headers and Velox VX-8r rims... than when I bought car I had to change bulb in taillight, (they put a different size bulb in) and when I used the turn signal the whole center console would flash w/ it!.. I made a big deal about it, they sold it to me for $1000 less than asking price!..when I knew what the problem was..LMAO

So after that I installed Injen RD intake and than exhaust, and rims and the mods kept coming, usdm cluster, agx w/ H&R sports, than swapped out the itr cluster for a UKDM cluster, also got ukdm tails and turn signals, than got mint blades (for winter) than swapped out H&R sports for Prokit than finally got Koni shocks w/ top hats and GC(LE).... it's a never ending process I tell ya!
