1996 civic dx. i need to know what color my paint is because im going shave off the 2 trunk holes where the "H" is and im going to paint over it and my side skirts too.

just look inside your door jamb on the driver side and take it to your body shop for the paint code.

I'm pretty sure thats not a stock color.

 

when i wanted to get a paint match . i went to a paint shop around here and they have a tool that tells you the make up of the paint . they clean a spot of your car then put the tool on the paint . it shows how much of each color particals are in it . that way you can almost get a direct match . dont ask me what its called though , becuase i have no clue .

 

The color eyes only have limited capabilities, they often only pull up an existing formula that it finds as "the closest match" which is often times something you could do better with using paint chips. If you do use the tool I'd get the paint chip for the color it pulls before buying it.
