I have always fancied the 4 door civics.. I understand all of what goes in to the all wheel drive swap in the hatchbacks... but can I do it in the 4 door?

Im going to turbo a z6 with the awd system off the wagon... I already got half of what I need, just not the car.. I dont know what I want...

If I can do it in the 4 door, that would be great... can I do it?

 

suspensions are so close in all ways if not same only thing you'd probably have to do is get a custom drive shaft if at all, the wagons are a hair longer.

if you can can find the infamously rare ef5 civic sedan you will have a factory 4wd with a dohc zc under the hood. i've only seen one in the 4 honda forums i browse.

for an answer to your question contact mattcivic. he converted a crx to 4wd using wagon parts. if you dont have welding/ fabrication skills then this is just a dream

 

yea look up mattcivic's thread.... lots of good pics and ideas of OEM parts you'll have to source. But as the hardcore fan above me noted, if you're not familiar with a welder, put this in the maybe pile unless you have some coin to back it up.

 

these were actually made in many markets! just not the US market. Do some searching in canada, you will find one im sure! I was thinking about buying one there!
