Default SPP muffler LOSS of HP ???

i hear that a spp mufler drops you hp, i have dc headers and i have an aem cold air intake , apexi 2.25 piping but the muffler is an SPP with 2.25 inlet and 4" outlet

its header not headers its only one, not multuple. and are you talking about the Apexi PS revolution? in your title you state SPP muffler, but in the post you say SSP. the Apexi i'm sure doesn't drop your horsepower. why would they design i muffler to do that?

Is this a chambered muffler or a baffled straight through style muffler? Either way i doubt you're going to lose power (or gain anything) by switching to this over stock.

I dont expect you'd really lose anything. Most people really over-analyze their NA exhaust systems (as well as intake systems) on simple bolt-on setups. If you really want to get into it, you need to understand a few concepts: Delta flow, exhaust velocity, exhaust reversion, etc...at that point, you're really getting into it and looking to pick up every possible .1hp. Since you're not there, dont concern yourself with such minute details.

ok i have a picture its says sPP on the exhaust on the tip , i have a silencer but i dont use the silencer , anyways here is a pic

cool cool. i got some more if you want. op i dont think your gonna loose power with that muffler. its a straight through design, you'll be ok.

oh okay thanks, well from what you guys telling me about straight thru = loss of power, well i want to tile the exhaust a little , just a little , would i loose hp?

straight is high end hp. back pressure will increase TQ
