Default H22 Starting Assistance

What's happening everyone, I've got a head scratcher on my hands and I can't figure it out.

JDM H22A, bone stock internals, etc running perfectly fine until this weekend.

note: no CEL's

Go to start it, click to 3, starts up, IMMEDIATELY cuts off, no chance to do anything, no idle, anything.

After having that about 20 times, it finally starts and maintains idle.

Take it by Advanced Auto and have a load test done on Battery/Alternator.

Battery = decent (got a new one Optima Redtop regardless)
Alternator = crap putting out ~30W vs the 75/80W normal

Bought a new one today, BRAND NEW Bosch one, got new belts, etc

Installed the alternator myself

Results:
- started up fine, tried it multiple times with practically 0 problems

So I drove it around for well over an hour, no problems whatsoever.

Drive it back home, get gas and on the way back **** dies in my driveway and won't start back up.

Here's the fun, I know the alt is good, it's putting 15v to battery when the car is on, the battery is also good.

No idea what's up. Any suggestions?

Starter I haven't checked - I was too fed up and had to get back to school
Dizzy = possibility?
Ignition system (interior)= possibility?

Now another thing to note, when it's being lame like that, if I hold the key between 2/3 it will run and drive fine but the ABS light is on, the moment I let the key go to 2, it dies.

Any help is appreciated. Or if clarification is needed I'll do my best.

I'm hoping it's something along those lines.

But the alternator (old) did test bad so I'm curious as to why everything was squirrelly at once

Regardless, new battery + new alt.

We'll see how it goes.

maybe the switch being faulty burned out the alternator from it being on all the time.
