Default Clutch Cable Problems!!!please help!

So I bought a 92 gsr two days ago and today I go to take it for a drive and the clutch pedal goes to the floor and doesn't spring back. Its a brand new clutch cable on a brand new exedy stage 1 clutch with about 200 miles on it. When the pedal is up ( i move it up by hand) the cable can be adjusted almost all the way to the end of the adjuster. when the pedal is to the floor the cable gets tighter and can be adjusted up to...i'd say about 2/3s down the adjuster, but then pedal doesn't spring up to the normal position. What should that arm leading to the tranny feel like? Should there be some resistance? or should it move freely up and down about 1 1/2 inches?

please help!

its not the spring in the pedal everything in there is in tact.
Car does not drive...tranny goes through the gears..aka not stuck when motor is off.

My big question is about the tranny arm that the cable is attached to. How much play should that have and should there be any resistance? PLEASE HELP!

If you have the cable too tight, the throw out bearing could be moving so far down the input shaft that it actually gets stuck on the end of it, I had it happen before, Adjust the cable so you have an inch or two of slack in the pedal.

I would love to....wtf?? I would say my pedal has about a foot and a half of play right now.

Somone help me please! Would someone just go out to their car and tell me how much movement they have in this tranny arm that's attached to the clutch cable. I think this will help me.

dont get bitchy your the one asking for help there should be no play in the clutch arm you should have to use a prybar to move it. If your sure that its noting wrong with the cable then your going to have to drop the tranny sounds like something internal to me (i.e clutch pressure plate, throwout bearing). Aftermarket clutch= Afermarket reliability
Good luck

check where the cable hooks up to clutch fork.
sometimes this gets loose or the throw out bearing is not hooking up.

sorry...didn't mean to get "bitchy", I just wish people would read the thread before making comments. I had it towed today to a local shop. Hopefully its just a bad cable. Came from autozone.
