eBay T3/T4 3" Downpipes?
What do you guys think of the eBay 3" Downpipes for the B-Series T3/T4 set-up's? Anyone's had personal experience with them? Otherwise, what do you guys recommend for decent price? Chime in if you can, thanks!
I'm sure since it doesn't support any weight that it may last, but like DaveF said above, it may not fit your setup....there isn't a "one-size-fits-all downpipe."

Yeah.. so maybe not useless if you are capable of doing something like this
but I'd still suggest having one fabbed.

Depends how good you are with a hacksaw and a welder.

i bought one for 75 bucks from ebay, expecting to have to cut and weld it, but it fit PERFECT! and i am running a peakboost mani. As far as quality goes, i have been running it for about a year now with no problems

Depending on the manifold you have, most of the fabricators should be able to hook you up with something. I know that Phil of SPoolin Performance (Project DC2) makes a number of downpipes for various manifolds.

chances are it aint gonna fit.. I suggest going to your local performance shop and having one made for you or check out the sponsor section and they custom make one for you application. So much easier

didnt read the whole thread but one of my friends broth me on of those to install on his car. i had to cut/weld it on three places to make it fit. besides that they are great.
i rarely hate on ebay stuff but this is one of the items i would never recommend.

they go for less than 100 shipped. i think for that price its pretty damn good. chances are it wont fit 100% and you'll probably have to cut here and there, but for the piping, flange, flex pipe, and o2 welded in already, i think its a pretty good deal. the material is good too. i actually bought one and we had to chop it in a couple places, other than that no complaints, i dont think any downpipe you buy will be a direct fit unless its from a kit, ie greddy kit
If you're going to be doing any cutting/welding, you'd be better off buying REAL stainless bends and a good, thick flange. I've seen nice 16ga SS 180* bends w/extra pipe & 45* elbow for under $40, and flanges for under $10. This would get you higher quality for less $$.

Can't see the pic. What's Bob's number? And how good is his work? Having trouble finding a reputable company that can make me a damn 3" downpipe and dumptube. Spooling is damn good, fo sho, but anybody know of any locals in southern Cali?
I have one, works just fine. I had to redrill a bolt on the flange and move the flex pipe back. Otherwise it's works just like a 3in downpipe, no worries. My tbe 3in. cost me less than $250 w/labor and magnaflow resonator. No muffler or cat. Sound goods, performs well, and didn't brake the bank either. I run home ported ebay log manifold and turbonetics 50trim
