Default Which front tie bar is everyone using with large downpipes ???

Looking to buy a front tie bar, just wondering what brands some of you guys with 3 inch+ downpipes. What mods if any had to be done to get them to fit?

im assuming you are speaking of a "traction bar" ?? or are you talking about a bar that connects the bolts that hold the LCA to the subframe ? if that is the case.... i didnt know anyone used them.. haha

have you looked at ebay, i recently had a customers car here, and he had one. its just a cheap *** aluminum bar, but it has a slight downward bend to it. it was not straight across like the Benen bar posted up above.

I can verify that the Neuspeed front lower tie bar will not fit with a 3" downpipe either.

Interested in hearing if anyone has found something that will.

i have seen many of those ones you are talking about break into pieces..

but i didnt even know these bars were so popular LOL, they do nothing but get in the damn way of everything and speed bumps.

I'll have to take a look at them.

They only one I found that looks like it might fit is the Cusco bar:

Someone out there has got to have one!

The Cusco bar looks almost IDENTICAL to my Neuspeed bar. If it is the same bar, it will not fit either. It barely fit when I was running my Kamikazee header and a 2.5" downpipe.

I have searched google, ebay, forums and found nothing. I only found others in the same boat as me. After thinking about it, if you found one that cleared a 3 inch downpipe, i bet it would bottom out all the time. So maybe thats why.

Ya I couldn't find it either. Can you check to see if the one you have in the shop would clear a 3 inch downpipe? Just give us an estimate?

Make one. It'll cost you $20 in steel and a beer or two for a friend to weld it up.

Take a peice of round tube, have it bent a little in two spots and weld it to your subframe.......
