Default Header for RSX type s

Anyone have any suggestions on a header I should buy for my rsx s? I was looking at the dc race header, but not sure cuz I have heard some mixed reactions on them. Just looking for some opinions from someone who knows what they are talking about. Let me know what you guys think

Every race header is illegal because it deletes the cat. DCRH is best for the money in my opinon.

well by personal use i have a dc race header it cost me $360 shipped the buddy club header cost somewere around $750 - $800 shipped. Now they say with the basic bolt ons (intake, header, exhaust) you would wanna go with the dc header for the price. But they say if u play on going further in the mods (Cams,All Bolt on,Kpro, reflash, etc) They say the buddy club the way to go. But with the basic bolt on u cant tell the diff between the dc and bc they say the diff between the 2 is about 3-4HP with the basic bolt ons. So if u wanna spend 400 exract buck for 4 hp be my guess but im my dc header does the job for me and gives best buy for the bill!!!!!!

Also try SEARCH this is the 4 post this month about "The best header for type s" even though sometime u might now get it on the first search TRY TRY again Thanks

Third me on the DCRH. Best bang for the buck. BCRH for the bling though and the baller status.

Yeah, so since every race header is illegal I am guessing I am just gonna have to put my stock parts back in when I take it for inspection. Alright, so if I do decide to go with the dc rh is there anything I should know about installing it? Anyone have any problems? Do I need new engine mounts or a torque damper?

Hhhmmmmm...

Go buy the Toda one it is the best!

There is an answer for ya! haha Just kidding man. There are many headers that will show good results. If you want a personal opinion I was gonna use the JRRH because I heard that you could run this without ESMM of torque dampner.

I have read on this forum and others that, because of it's two piece design, it was not necessary to run the ESMM or the TD. I may be wrong because I have never owned one but either way guys were talking a noticeable increase between some of the other lower line headers like DC and Megan. This header can also be picked up for around $400 or so used.

there will be two spots on the race header to put the sensor but if u put them directly into it u will throw a check engine u will need spark plug defoulers to trick the comp

lol

I had the Stainless Steel DCRH before i went turbo on my K20a. It is the best bang for the buck. Best header with money not being an issue would be the hytech header IMO.

I would go with the DCHR ya you can get a fix it ticket but its worth it.....if you have a good flowing ex. then it makes the v-tec pop sound perfect....i have one on my car and got pulled over many times, so i painted the whole thing black and just tell them its stock...

as stated, RH's are illegal...

but DCRH is definitely the best band for your buck...

owner of one speaking, ESMM or MM are a DEFINITE YES.

although if i had the money i would have gone with a buddy club RH

I appreciate all of the input you guys are giving me on this. It is something I have been looking into and it is nice to have some good advice. It seems to me like it is going to get a little pricey though since I not only have to buy the header, but I also have to buy the mounts or the torque dampener. But I got the Greddy exhaust for Christmas and it is just sitting in my garage. I feel no need to really put it on until I get the header. It doesnt really seem to bother me that the race header is illegal besides the fact that it is going to be a pain in the *** to keep switching the parts. I am not really worried about getting pulled over though cuz never in my life has a cop asked me to pop my hood when I have been pulled over. I mean, what kinda of trouble can you really get in for that anyways? Like I said before, I am glad to have some knowlegable people to answer my questions. Thanks

IMHO i would go with megan. for sure best bang for the buck with the k series motors. megan is a fairly new company so expect the prices to rise, they make a good quality race header that was released not to long ago. a matter of fact some people with dc5's regret getting DCRH after the megan one was released. i really dont believe that but hey to each his own right? anyways heres the site.
http://www.meganracing.com/pro...d=131

i actually heard of someone on CRSX that made 214whp on the dyno with just a CAI and this header. correct me if any information is wrong but im planning to getting this header this summer. maybe BCRH if i want to spend double that.
