My speedometer stopped working!!
the ed dosnt have a speed sensor
its a mechanical connection between the tranny and cluster using a spur gear and cable
really easy fix
just go down to your local autopart store and tell them you need a "speedo cable" for your civic
i had to replace mine a few months ago cause it snapped anyway.. teh part cost me like 12$ and took about an hour to replace woudl have taken less time but liek every bolt/screw you have to take off to get to everything is in teh crappyest of places...
anyway hope thsi helps...

+1 here. Your cable sits on top of the tranny next to the firewall. Pull the black housing up and remove the spring clip. If you have some flat ground were your car wont roll off on you, take it out of gear and rock the car a couple of inches and play with the cable, you should feel a distinct point when the cable seats. A lot of times it will get put back into the tranny but wont seat completely with the clip.
