JUst finshed poslishing wheels should i clear coat them?
I just finished polishing the lip on my gf's 2 piece bmw wheels and i was wondering if i should try to clear coat them now. I bought the dupli-color high performance wheel clear but am hesitant to do it. I spent hours stripping off the old cracked and scrachted clear, sanding out the scratches and polished them. I am worried it will come out like crap or i will get runs. What do you think will be better? I want to put the clear on so i dont have to polish them weekly lol or has anyone used that zoop seal stuff?
Me and my brother are both leaving the lips on our wheels bare, I would rather hit it with a little Mothers polish once in a while then worrying about the clear coat turning yellow, peeling or chipping (especially if your using rattle can ****)
yeah ill prob do that too the biggest problem is everyone uses those acidic wheel cleaners on polished lips which messes them up instead of soap and water i guess ill leave it bare
what do you think about the zoop seal stuff i saw somewhere people use this on bare aluminum wheels

That seems like a waist, there are, however, metal polishes out there that leaves a silicone residue after you polish to protect the metal. I know blue magic does this…

That zoop seal stuff is great but it's pricey and it takes awhile to go through all the different application steps but once it's on their you're good for awhile. At least that's how it was with billet.
