2001 Accord doesn't always start
For the past 2 months I've had a problem with my 2001 Accord not always starting. When I turn the key, it makes a "woo woo woo" sound (but no clicks) and after 5 to 10 tries it will finally start. It doesn't happen every time I start the car and it will be fine for a few days or up to a week but then it will happen again. Sometimes pressing the gas pedal helps and at other times it doesn't make any difference. Has anyone had this problem and/or have an idea what's wrong?
Any CEL's on? I kinda had the same prob, but giving gas wouldnt help mine and i had a CEL on... after fixing the CEL and it was still doing it i found out it was the ignition lock cylinder.
Also is your maintence up to date? Fuel filter could cause that too.

How is your battery? I'm guessing your starter.... Because you did said it works fine in the other days. BTW are you starting this in cold weather? It could be also a semi weak battery. Does your car take 3 turns before starting the car or 2?
98+ Accords do not have a fuel filter. They have like a mesh type "sock filter" in the fuel tank that is unserviceable.
