yeah i got a 99 b16 in my eg hatch, it boggs out at 4500 rpm when you punch it, but if you driver regulary then give it gas it will drive good to redline if i want it to, could this be my fuel filter? fuel pump?

secondly, if my speed sensor is out, will my vtec still kick in or no, i read on ht before that it doesnt, but i jus want to double check....

No, VTEC will not engage if your ecu is not reading a speed signal.
