Default h23 crank in a h22 compression?

i have scat h22 rods and mahli gold turbo piston h22.Will i be able to use the h23 crank or would the compression be too high?will it work if i got h23 rods thanks

ps already tried the math and mess it up badly!!!
eagle rods lenght 5.630
stock h22 rod lenght 5.633
mahli piston compression height 1.220
stock block and head
or with h23 rods lenght 5.572
h22 jdm pistons compression height 1.221

to use the h23 crank, I suggest you use h23 rods. If you have the clearence you can use the h22 rods, but I honestly have no clue about mahli piston specs. I guess you should search as suggested by 99% of people on this forum. Try h23vtec...

I also see your concerned with your compression being too high. Compression can never be too high and turbo pistons usually are lower compression than stock. Do you intend to boost the motor as suggested by the pistons or would this inference be too bold? If you gave adequate information, we might be able to better help you.

since i already have the pistons and rod i would like to raise the compression for a 200 whp motor and 350 on spray.or what would i have to do 10.1 would be great or a little higher compression!

I'm gonna bring this back to life instead of starting a new thread..

I'm in the process of building a H22 turbo.. I will be using 9:1 .020 pistons, and Probe H22 rods..

Now I'm also looking to use the H23 crank... Will I have any problems, will some H23 rods be better?

you piston will be out of the hole ~.08" if you use an H23 crank with H22 rods and H22 pistons.

Only way you'd want to keep the H22 rods is with custom pistons with a shorter compression height, otherwise use the H23 rods and H23 crank, and then the H22 pistons will only stick out of the block ~.02" which is acceptable in most cases.
