i was going to get the same seat, but i was hold by my local child safty seat awareness officer that those seats are illegal to have in the u.s because they are not dot approved for the u.s . but i never had seen one inperson so can you verify , if the sticker on the seat or on the seat it self has a dot number for u.s?

Last two I sold were to people who didn't even have kids! I leave japan in about 7 weeks so when I leave thats it from me.
