Lightest 205/50/15 tire.....which one? Not the Azenis
I was wondering which is the lightest high performance tire out there in 205-50-15
I want something that sticks like the Azenis....
Anyone know the tire weights?

You won't find anything that sticks as good as the Azenis and weighs less...
Have you tried the Azenis? I don't think you'll notice the 2 lb. difference in tire weights...

Nope haven't tried them yet....I have ordered them but they are on backorder till the end of July
I think the Toyo T-1S is supposed to be the stickiest/lightest street tire. RE730 is nice and sticky but talk about heavy!
Pirellie P700Z

Mugen MF-10 + Pirelli 225/40-ZR16 P700Z + air = 26-27 lbs.

that sounds impossible...lightest combo i know weights 29.8 lbs.
Hoosier DOT R compound. Those are lighter and stick as well as the Azenis
The again, you'll only get a few hundred miles out of them too.
You won't find a lightweight pure street tire that sticks well and is lightweight. To make a street tire stick well (and last), you need to use a stiff sidewall and strong dense tread. That does not equal lightweight.
Look at the S03 and Azenis. Two of the best tires as far as street tires, but both are heavy as hell.

Azenis are heavy. They're noticibly (sp?) heavier than the stock RE010's. They do grip though.
How about those Toyo RA-1's?
How about those Toyo RA-1's?
BFGoodridge g-force T/A KD weigh less than Azenis and it grips equal or better than Azenis.
Catch... it costs twice as much as Azenis.

A032R in a 205/50-15 is pretty light. Won't last as long as the Azenis but will grip a lot better.
I have a set on my ITR right now and they work REAL nice. Thanks Dave! I'll give you the 12 pack of Pabst and my old RATT concert T-shirt for the tires just like we discussed.

I'll take sticky over 2lb extra weight anyday. I've got through full sets of RE010's, P700z, Kumho 712's, and partial azenis. I'll take the azenis ANY DAY! Hell I hate the p700's even on normal street driving cause I spin the hell out of them on dry streets.
Oh well, my opinion is worth about as much as my bank account = "0"
Can I smack you for recommending the P700Z? the original post wanted something as similar in "sticky" as the azenis, PLEASE - the p700Z is slicker then snot on marble
How you bean?
