how to paint the red H on hx rims?
hey everyone. i am plannin on paintin my hx rims white this month. and i wanted to paint the H red. but i dunno how to do it and what kind of paint i should use. any suggestions will b helpful. thanks
I did that a couple years ago.. it was a PITA.
I went online and downloaded a honda logo, printed it, checked it against the wheel cap logo and adjusted the scale and printed it again and checked it.... cut and paste until you dial in the size. them I printed the honda logo on the heaviest paper i could convince my printer to print on and cut out the logo with a xacto blade. the left me with a stencil that protected the area around the logo from paint. so i painted the logo red, then after it dried I painted the cap using the stencil to keep the silver spray (or whatever you are going to use) off the red. it took 3-4 hours to do all 4 with drying time. pretty silly really, but it came out good. i am proud of my red H caps! no one has stolen them either.
i used either engine paint or caliper paint for the red- i forget. enamel anyway.
