Default Mugen engine mounts

Posted this in the Mugen thread also:

Anyone know if (or using) the 5 piece Mugen engine mount kit (b series) and if it is significantly stronger than the factory Type R mounts? need some stiffer ones but dont want to go to rock solid urethane style ones.
Cheers

Then the Mugen set is exactly what you're looking for, I'm running a set. Firmer then OE, but not rock solid like others.

I loved them and it's wise to stiffen all of the bushings so that all carry a proportionate share of the stress. If your freshining up a high mileage caR, you should replace the two not included in most E.M. kits with new OEM bushings anyway. You get a 100k on a chasis, ALL of the bushings get a bit sloppy and if I was restoring a shell, I'd buy the entire Mugen kit. Only $2545 vs. I don't know how much but a lot less for OEMs. Also some parts would be omitted if you were running coilovers.
If not running R comps and a stiffer sussy, OEM would be fine.
I did very few mods to my car and this one was my favorite one. You can barely, almost imperceptably feel engine vibration on the steering wheel and shift **** if you lightly touch them with your fingertips. No harshness, cowl shake, or noise.
Five thumbs up for a great five piece mount kit.

* ninja edit, Hah, beat me to it Cory! *
