Help picking the right set of coilovers?
Hello brothers I have a 99 honda civic ex and i wanna get some coilovers for it so it can have a nice drop look and for a lil better handling. But I live in Milwaukee,WI where it snows like hell so I would need to get a pair that are adjustable so come snow i can higher up my ride or lower it in summer. Oh yea is a civic EX a EJ8 or what is it?
The right set might be no coilovers at all. Sounds like a decent set of lowering springs fits your requirements very well. And if you know what is involved in adjusting the height on a set of coilovers, I'd suspect you wouldn't be so quick to do it twice every season.
I have my Evo lowered on coilovers, and I had my DB8 lowered on coilovers, and I've lived through the worst snow storms that both Chicago and NY have seen in the last 10 years or so. Not once did I feel the need to raise the car up due to snow. Unless you're planning on slamming the car to the ground, I wouldn't consider height adjustability as a big factor in your purchasing decision.
I *would* consider budget, importance of ride quality, and purpose of the car as big factors, so you'll want to provide us with that information.
