Default Project CR-X '88 SI 2-liter beast

Alright guys, i'm new to this forum, so i'll introduce myself, I'm Ryan and live in Fredericksburg VA.

Alright, Some history of the car: I purchased this thing bone stock Senior year of Highschool, about 3 1/2-4 years ago now. I've gone from have the stock 1.6 with blot on's and nitrious, to a B16a with blot on's and nitrious...But everyone and there mom has a B-series CR-X and i wanted to be different.

Modifications are As followed:
*Tokico Blues
*Skunk 2 CoilOvers
*Skunk 2 Strut tower bar
*4 point custom fabbed roll cage
*ESP GOLD powdercoated traction bars
*ESP mount kit "soon to be HASPORT"
Engine:
*SAVAGE BUILT
*2.3 bottom end w/ high compression pistons
2.2 JDM head Port and Polished, EURO R IM, WEB cams, JASMSA Stamped header, Custom 2.5 exhaust, Custom 3inch Intake, ZEX Wet KIT

The Future Plans:
*I want to go H2B!
*Get all the rust fixed and possibly change color to SILVER "done right jams & interior and possibly engine bay"
*Build another bottom end and eventually boost her

Yeah, that happens here but when you step up with a clean rex and duce-trey vtec swap that tends to kill the nonsense. It takes some skill and know how to pull that off, props again.

Now get to working on those updates, lol.

nice car. I dont want to be a dick, but it will be said sooner or later and i would rather sooner, so maybe you can make some adjustments and keep it from getting locked: where's the tech? just edit a little bit of the original post so we can enjoy this for a while, as long as you post updates with your progress.

Now my question for all of H-T, and in no way bashing a car but... What is up with all the black engine bays? doesnt black hold heat? is it just because it hides oil and gunk well, or you just like the look? I have always been a color-matched guy, but maybe im missing more?

Thanks and nice car.

No offense taken, like i stated i'm new to this board, was just kinda a way to introduce myself to all the EF people on the forum..and i'll be sure to update the OP. As for the black engine bay, it's my personal preferance b/c the red was faded and all muffed up, Gloss black was an easy/cheap solution being as i wasnt gonna get it professionally sprayed back to red, I appreciate all the compliments so far Yea, they are ESP, soon to be HASPORT tho

Are you putting a stock interior in it after it's painted?

My thoughts as well. I hope the interior wasn't as clean as the exterior. It'd be a shame that you ripped it all out.

You might want to look into selling the hood if you go H2B, unless you mind doing a 2 1/2" hood prop in the rear
