Default help with O2 Sensor wire colors and meaning

So, I was all set to use the picture below. and solder inline a resistor and capacitor to fool the O2 sensor (in case you don't have a cat).

It lists the wire colors as 2 white, 1 grey, and 1 black.
I take the sensor off and have 2 black, 1 white, and one green.
Anyone have any good guesses as to which is which?

Or...is there anyway I can leave the O2 Sensor out and read "fresh" engine bay air. I'm thinking this might think the engine is running lean if It senses too much oxygen?

Alrighty....so far I've found
White = sensor signal
Green = sensor ground

Now any guesses as to which color takes the resistor in line?

I just unplugged my o2 sensor, now u talk about running lean or rich.... do you think taking the 02 sensor off may cause the car to hessitate when u shift.

Unplugged the sensor from the bung....(or unplugged the coupler? guessing no).
Hmmm..I don't know if it'd cause the car to hesitate when shifting.

I'm also looking for an o2 sim. Where did you find that diagram? You need this for the 2nd o2 sensor for and OBDII car correct? Check out what I've found below. Let me know where you got that info and if that mod worked.

Like you said, the white and green wire are for the O2 Sensor Signal, the two black ones are just for the O2 sensor heater. If you do get an O2 sensor Sim like the ECG you have to put a 1k ohm resister on the heater wire circuit. Even if you put an O2 sensor sim in, if you leave the Heater wires open, or dont put in a resistor you will get a CEL almost immediatley after you start your car/

Why? Not saying you're wrong, just wondering why you say this. I was told not to touch those two wires. That the only two wires doing any sending/receiving (the only ones that would theoretically matter) were the green and white wires, not the heater signal wires.

Thanks for any info you have.
