Well, not getting much help over in the suspension forum, and I PM'd CRX Lee but haven't heard back (maybe he's on vacation?).
I was wondering if anyone here had some input for me... TIA

FvD graphs are really only useful to the manufacturer or the rebuilder, as they can show irregularities (due to improper valving, rough inner walls, bad shims, etc) and cavitation if they exist. Indeed, I'd say its a good way to QC a shock before sending it on its way, but from the end user's standpoint, it doesn't tell you very much except consistency of valving. Without knowing the speed the dyno was run at for the SPSS3 shocks, you can't pull forces at specific velocities, which is what you want (A F v Velocity graph). You also can't directly compare the two without knowing what speed the SPSS3 were run at. 10 in/sec is fast, and could possibly be masking problems such as an oil leak, or cavitation.
There used to be a sticky in this forum of various shock dyno graphs. It was somewhat useful but really PIC Performance is mostly correct. You might try looking in the archives for the tread. It was a long one.
