Default OBD-0 LS/VTEC W/GSR PISTONS

I had a quick question because I will be getting an LS/VTEC swap from a friend of mines. The block is rebuilt with a 1st gen B16 head, with ARP Rods and bolts.
The main question is that he is running GSR pistons on the LS block. And I want to know if this is a good setup, or if it will generate any problems in the future. I have been doing research on the LS/V set up for quite a while, and have read on this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1676914
about what it takes to build a reliable LS/Vtec motor. If anyone has any insight or any added info it will be greatly appreciated.
