Default Mirror Plates

Quick question. I just got some jdm folding mirrors installed and cant get use to the magnifications to the mirror plates. I was just wondering, can you swap out the mirror plate from the usdm one and put it on the jdm one??? i tried to get the usdm mirror plate off but that stupid pin is a bitch to get off. does anyone know how to get the pin off easily also???

i dont know about the usdm fitting the jdm, but you could always go to an automotive glass shop. it wouldnt be that expensive to get 2 small mirrors cut.

heres what I did on my 93 4dr. I got complete manual mirrors (must be oem, aftermarket wont work) and I took them apart. I then used the base from the manual mirrors with my jdm folding mirrors. I also swapped the mirror glass. The jdm base is what causes the different angle along with the glass being different. I got the idea from this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=667245 .pm me if you have any questions.

ok so, the only thing i can do to change the mirror magnifications is to just buy some manual mirror plates and break the jdm ones and insert them???????

you can just change the mirror plates if you want to but the angle is also different with the jdm mirrors. You dont really need to break the glass you can put it in boiling water for a few seconds and then remove using a flat screwdriver. The glass is held on by some double sided tape and the hot water will loosen it up.
