Steering Wheel Bolt? Help plz quick Q!
Im replacing the steering wheel on a 91 Civic LX and I need to know what kind of bolt is on the main steering column ..thing.
I know its a 19 mm from the how to remove/replace steering wheel thread in the FAQ's. But I got the middle bolt stolen and need to go to the hardware store to find out what size it is.
Thanx

well i tried to look it up for you, but i cant see a thread pitch on it.
for sure its not a "19mm" nut, thats the socket size which doesnt specify the bolt size.
my guess that you should look for a 12x1.25mm nut.
however, i recommend you just go to the honda dealer and buy a new nut. its less than $1.

Thanks alot guys, ya I couldnt wait so i went out to ace hardware and talked to my friend there, he said it was probly a 12mm and so i got 3 vrs of the 12, the 1.25 worked.

Best get the dealer one, but if unavailable, get a self-locking nut like OEM.
