Brake pedal problem
I have a problem with brakes.
When i fully bleed the system properly with the car both on and off and expell all air bubbles even using a hammer and tapping the calliper.
My pedal pumps up to a high Point and all feels well when car is off ( no Vacuum).
But when i start the car the pedal travels down almost past half way and the stopping power is useless.
I have new rotars and pads all round?
The car is a civic. 94 coupe.
All info much appreciated.

If you are ABSOLUTELY sure the brakes are bled properly and there is NO AIR in the system, you may have a bad brake master cylinder.
Try this..
With the engine off, pump the pedal until it gets hard. When it does, keep pressure on it. Do you feel the pedal sink at all? If so and you have NO external leaks, you most likely have a bad master cylinder.
If it doesnt sink, you may just need to adjust the master cylinder pushrod.
When did all this start?
Was it working correctly before?

Did you bleed the brakes in this order?
RR,LR,RF,LF?
I dont understand why you need a hammer to bleed brakes...Do you know how to properly bleed brakes?http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/t...kes/index.html

yea i tried holding pressure on the pedal with the car off and it holds ,does not sink.
it started when my front left passenger calliper was sticking so i took the piston out. cleaned it and put in back in. The brakes were good until some heavy braking one day and the pedal started travelling down and braking became ****.
I bled them in sequence.
I thing its a expletiveed master cylinder.
