previous my cams lobes and rocker arms ate eachother up, so last night i found a new used set of rocker arms and cams from a buddy, i went to take em out the rocker arms and fogot to put them in the order that they were suppose to be in.... is there a way that i can trace which one is which? or im pretty much screwed?
can i just put them in my head as long as i do the valve adjusting? please help, I need a car to go to work, my kids are running low on milks and diapers, lol

There is no way that i know of to rematch the rockers to the correct position.
But I have also unintentionally done the same thing and have been fine. Just adjust the valves like normal and maybe an early oil change as the rockers and cams mate to their new partners.
Youll probably be fine, I was. But in a perfect world, you want everything to go where it was "wearing" into.
My opinion...

I mix them up all the time. It doesn't seem to matter.
The big concern with mixing them up is that the vtec pins might not perfectly line up with the rocker bores. This is because the pin bores for each specific set of rockers are align-honed as a set. But I personally mix and match them all the time and the pins always line up just fine. If you really wanted to make sure everything works, you could follow the helms procedure and use an air compressor to lock the head into vtec mode, then turn the cams manually to make sure all the pins engage.
Worst case scenario: some of the individual rockers would be locked out of vtec.
