Default Heard some non-recommendations for synthetic, but won't it last longer?

The car is a '93 Accord with about 130,000 miles on it running conventional. I've been trying to read up on it here on honda-tech, but some people are saying it's not any better.

So, most importantly... is it too late to switch? And say I do want to, wouldn't I at very least be able to get roughly 2-3 longer out of an oil change with synthetic? (saving money or not, but saving time though) I was planning on switching out conventional with synthetic until I heard a few only say its a waste of money?

Even though synthetics may offer longer service intervals, it is still recommended by the manufacturer to follow their suggested intervals for service to protect the warranty. Since warranty is not an issue in your case, do what you wish. Ideally you would have the oil analyzied to see what you are dealing with. That would give you some solid information on which to base your maintenance schedule.
