Default highway driving

i have a 98 accord lx 4 cyl, is 3000 rpm normal for a cruising speed of 80 mph on the hwy?

seems a tad high, auto? if so check to see if the car is getting up to operating temp. if the car is not at operating temp, then tq converter will not lock up and rpms will be about 250 or so higher for a given speed in top gear.

edit: just read your other thread about jerking trans. it's toast, repalce it with a reman unit from honda that has all of the updates.

What about 5spd manual, i think im gettin around 2550rpms doing 100km/h is that how it should be? Oh ya before i forget, its a 95 accord EXR.
