So Im currently running a d16zc block with a d16y7 head non vtec but i got a d16 y8 head ported and polished all the way but now i need some advice on what i should run in the head i need springs valves cam ect all advice and opionions would help thank you everyone

 

blox stage 2 cam and springs, retainers, keepers.(your old ones will work fine but if your putting all this money into a head why not be safe.) if you have the extra money get the flat tip valves just to help raise compression a little. definatly get new stem seals, parts wash everything. i did all this to the mini me i built for my car and it ran like a champ. some kind of adjustable cam gear so you can play with timing a little.

 

Sounds great to Me Ive been pricing stuff up here and there what kinda power would i be getting hp wise with all this

 

never got mine dyno'd but i'd imagine with the stock bottom end wishful thinking around 145-150whp.

 

Well i got all the head parts cam springs retainers timing gear ect im just waiting on the gaskets so im gonna start the swap soon my goal is to build this d series to 200whp all motor so wish me luck ill post some pics when im done ......
