Default fan not kickin on???

Just got my CX running and drove it a good 2 and 1/2 hours without the fan kickin on. The temp gauge didn't show it over heating or anything but it was kind of wierd that in all that time (most on the highway) it never kicked on. Was wondering if i should try and jump the fan and just see if it's working or if that was normal and they don't kick on till the engine really gets hot?

You know ive got some first hand experience with my civic doing that too. My fan wouldn't come on, atleast where i couldn't hear it. In the end i just couldn't hear my fan coming on. The other half of the time my cooling system just never gets past normal temp. My needle always stays just about 2 ticks below horizontal no matter what the load or how hot it is.
