Default How does a quick release steering wheel work?

I know probably a dumb question....

But I got my new sparco wheel and quick release and was thinking about going home tonight after work and installing, but after looking at it, I can't really figure out how it works.

Like how does the steering wheel come on and off the hub/quick release? Thanks

It can be if you dont secure it properly. I once had a wheel come off in my hand while getting on to the highway.

so what does it snap on and off? do you just pull? do you have to pushdown and then turn to get it off?

Not knowing your EXACT combo.
I would imagine that it has a slide collar that locks over a hub. That is how most of them work.

i believe there are a few different styles out there, but most you have to push down a button and pull back the outer sleeve,
when you do that it takes the presure off of the little ***** inside,

once you put it back on the little ***** fit into the grooves on the hub, it will only go on one way, i had one of these on my old DA forever without any problems.

put it on, it's one more thing to help the safety of your car.
