Will a P07 ECU(VTEC) work instead of a P06 ECU(non-vtec)?
I have a 1992 Civic lx that needs an ECU. It is sappose to have a P06 (non-vtec) ECU but I have a P07 (vtec) ECU and I am wondering if it will work the same?
It won't work right. Not only are the fuel maps wrong. But the P07 is also going to look for a VTEC pressure switch, VTEC solenoid, five wire oxygen sensor, and EGR valve.
if you are looking for a P06, I saw one at a local yard. If you are interested in trading for a P07-A##, let me know and I would go pick it up.

it should start the car, but it will not run well.
It will also have several CELs.
