Default Status Monte Carlo Seat Restoration - Help Requested

I just bought a carbon fiber Status Monte Carlo seat for my Sol, and it needs some TLC.

It's been broken, but was fixed with fiberglass and seems really solid. I'm going to put on a few extra layers of fiberglass cloth just to be on the safe side.

Problem One: Solved!

Problem Two: The fabric on the inside of the seat doesn't seem to stay very tight at all. There's inward-facing velcro on both sides of the seat, as shown below.

What is this velcro supposed to attach to? I'm thinking it might work if I bought some stick-on velcro at the hardware store and stuck it on the carbon fiber shell of the seat, then stretched the fabric and pressed it onto the velcro...any other ideas?

Problem Three: The plastic that surrounds one of the harness holes is broken, as shown below.

Any ideas on how to fix? I know Status' factory is local...maybe I should call them up and see if there's anything they can do, because I don't even see how they get those things in. I think If I had another I might be able to manage getting it in by heating it up and squishing it into place. But I dunno...any ideas?

I know, I know...this seat seems like a lot of work. But I picked it up for $50, so I can't complain. Once fixed, I plan to put it in my Del Sol.

dude..... never use a cracked seat... no matter how well its "fixed". it will break again under an emergency situation.

I don't see how it's dangerous if it's repaired to be stronger than before. I know what I'm doing with fiberglass and can make it very strong. It'll be thicker in parts and won't look as good, but it'll be just as strong if not stronger than before.

incorrect. I work on aircraft fiberglass. Any stress related crack that is patched will automatically transfer the engergy of the shock along that crack again. I would not trust that seat

Yeah, good call. Thanks for the advice everyone. I think I will just make a sweet chair out of it. Del Sol seats are comfy anyway.

I work for Status please don't use/repair a seat that has been in ANY accident, it is a safety item not a novelty peice.

I have been at the track and seen drivers accidently drop their helmets and throw them away because they felt the safety of the helmet had been used.

I will give you 50 dollars, that's your life man. That seat has been used for it's intended purpose. Buy a new one.

Yeah, I no longer plan on using it in a car. Thanks for the advice...I didn't know they couldn't be repaired with fiberglass. Now I do.
